FIRST ORC IN CHILE

Delivering a successful JCM Model Application in 2019 unlocking the JCM financial support for a 3.4 MW Biomass Power Plant installed in the Maule Region in Chile. La Glorias power plant went through difficulties of construction during the COVID pandemic reaching its COD (Commercial Operation Date) in March 2024. The plant utilizes agricultural residue rice husk as fuel and is the first ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) equipment installed in Chile.

Expected emission reduction: 8,567 tCO2/year
